Patricia Dodd - Stephen Dodd

For approximately 17 years Patricia has worked in the horse racing industry, starting as a groom/rider, gaining two NVQ's in the subject and working up to a position of assistant/head groom. Patricia's wider family are also involved in horse racing, with one of her relatives having ridden in, and won, the Aintree Grand National.

With over 20 years of equine related knowledge, equine and horse racing related subjects are a passion for Patricia, and with her experience of the horse racing industry from a working and spectator point of view, Patricia enjoys conveying related information to a reading audience.

Patricia has tried her hand at writing a fictional novel, and although several publishing companies expressed a possible interest in the finished novel, Patricia has decided to steer away from the fictional market, feeling she is best suited to a non-fiction audience. Patricia thrives on the research and challenges that non-fiction can bring, and is currently working on a horse racing non-fiction project, and has many more projects in mind.

Patricia also enjoys writing poetry, with topics varying from equine, love, passion and rejection, to insanity. Patricia has previously entered poetry into monthly International competitions, gaining second place with a poem entitled The Woman, The Horse on Voicesnet.com. The poem, along with the winner and the third place entries, can be viewed here... www.voicesnet.com/displayonedoc.aspx?docid=167374
